St. Gallen, December 1st, 2022 - deskbird, a Swiss technology company for digital workplace management, receives another 1.5 million US dollars from PortfoLion Capital Partners in the second part of its Pre-Series A financing round. With this investment, deskbird closes the funding round with a total of 6.5 million dollars, becoming the most financed SaaS workplace startup in Europe.

deskbird expands its position in the European market

With PortfoLion, four investors now support the young company in this financing round to become Europe's leading workplace solution. A significant factor in this new investment is deskbird's excellent performance. Since its founding, the young company has recorded a total contract volume of more than 2 million US dollars, with a +40% staggering monthly growth.

With the newly acquired capital, deskbird can further expand its position in the European market and make its solution for digital workplace management even more effective. In addition to desk bookings, deskbird also offers room bookings, office analytics and assigned spaces (allowing allocating resources to specific users). With just one click, users can easily book their desks or meeting rooms. Simple and efficient!

More than 500 companies, including well-known customers such as Schaeffler and KFC, are using the deskbird app - and numbers keep growing. The deskbird team is also expanding and now includes 60 employees.

But deskbird's growth doesn't stop here. The Swiss company is already planning the next financing round (second quarter of 2023) with Series A.

Joining the Microsoft Partner Program

deskbird has also recently been invited to join the renowned "Microsoft for Startups Program." With this global program, Microsoft helps B2B startups with access to Microsoft tools, expertise, and the Microsoft partner network. A fantastic opportunity to learn more and scale up the business

With numerous developer tools and resources, deskbird receives support to integrate its solution deeper into Microsoft products.  As a new channel partner, Microsoft also offers mentoring. In addition, deskbird is now listed in the Microsoft App source. Companies can find innovative solutions to support their business in this app marketplace.

"We see the successful Pre-Series A funding round and our inclusion in the Microsoft Partner Program as confirmation of the sustainability of our business model and our vision to shape the future of work. We are very pleased with the continued confidence of our existing investors session.vc, Fortyone, and Rivus Capital, as well as our new investor PortfoLion, in supporting us on our journey. With the capital and expertise of our investors as well as Microsoft, we will be able to further expand our position in Europe and better serve the needs of our customers."
